Most AI advice isn't for you.
|
|
Most AI content is written for developers, enterprise teams, and companies with a dedicated IT department. If you run a service business with under 20 people, almost none of it applies to you.

|
|
|
For owners.
The AI news cycle is full of enterprise integrations, new model releases, and benchmark comparisons nobody outside a research lab actually understands. Here is what matters for owners: OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic are all racing to sell to Fortune 500 companies. That is not you.
The tools trickle down eventually, but right now the stuff that actually works for a 5-person HVAC company or a boutique law firm is not on the front page of TechCrunch. It is quieter. More boring. And it works.
Stop reading the feeds written for the wrong person.

How to filter AI news for what actually applies to your business.
Step 1 · Ask "can I use this without a developer?"
If the answer is no, skip it. You do not have time to build anything.
Step 2 · Ask "does this save time on something I do every week?"
If the answer is no, skip it. One-time problems are not worth the setup cost.
Step 3 · Ask "can I try this in under an hour?"
If the answer is no, it is not your problem yet. Come back in six months.

What We're Building at NRS
|
Everything we build has to pass one test before it ships: can a non-technical owner actually use this without calling us? If the answer is no, we rebuild it.

One Thing
The best AI tools for your business are probably not the ones everyone is talking about.

Your move
Forward this to another owner who's drowning in AI advice that doesn't apply to them.
Or just reply to this email. A real person (me, Cam) reads every one.
